Evan Stifel of St. Xavier was named to the Division I all city first team.  He was district runner-up, regional runner-up, and fifth at state.  His overall best time of the year was 15:15.

In the photo, he is shown on his way to a stunning upset win at the Nike Midwest Regional held at LaVern Gibson Cross Country course in Terre Haute, Indiana. Evan's first place finish led St. Xaver to an automatic qualifying spot at the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon, the first Ohio team to directly qualify without an ex-large bid. His winning time in the rain, mud, and pools of water on the course was 16:03.7

 Evan Stifel finished fith at DI state meet behind teammate Michael Hall (4th) and ahead of teammate Michael Vitucci (8th) to give the Bombers three in the top eight places and one of the lowest points totals (46) ever at the big school state meet.  Evan's time was 15:29.82.
