Annie Heffernan of St. Ursula was named the Division I Runner of the Year.  She won the GGCL league meet, district meet, regional meet, and state meet.

In the photo above (#105 in center), she runs at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional meet in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was on the podium for finishing 14th and making second team all region.  Her time was 18:12

She ran at the Nike Midwest Regional on November 17, 2013 and made the All Region Second Team with her 11th place finish.

 She captured an Ohio Divison I State  Cross Country championship on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at NationalTrail Raceway in Hebron.  There was no denying Annie this time as she build up a substantial lead over last year state champion, Lebanon's Jacquelyn Crow, who was unable to catch her at the end this year finishing thirteen seconds behind Heffernan's wining time of 18:13.90.
