Two years after New Richmond's Grant Harrison became the first Cincinnati boy to clear 17 feet in the pole vault, Country Day's Luke Schieber (junior) became the 2nd by clearing 17' 1 1/4" at the Miami Valley Conference meet on Thursday, 14 May at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Schnieber had vaulted 17 feet indoors this year, but this was his first vault over 17 feet outdoors. This also moves Schnieber to #4 on the Ohio all-time outdoor list!
